John 19:38-42
Dying to self. This is not a foreign phrase to me or many other Christians. We are called to die to our self and pursue life with Christ. Christ made the ultimate sacrifice as John witnessed, and now we have been called to a response. Surrendering all that I am is not easy. Honestly, I know that I have not died to myself completely. I hold on to things. I like control and planning. This is one of the hardest things for me to give to God. In order to accomplish what Christ has for my life and to glorify Him with all that I am, I must surrender to Him. Today, this is my prayer.
